The PSSA in collaboration with Medpharm Publications (Pty) Ltd publishes two professional journals. The South African Pharmaceutical Journal is produced monthly and the South African Pharmacist's Assistant is produced every three months. These journals contain news of current events and issues in pharmacy, and assist in CPD.

In co-operation with LexisNexis, the PSSA also publishes the Compendium of Laws and Regulations Relating to Pharmacy.

Some of the PSSA branches have their own journals that they send out to members living or working in their areas. These publications are available on the branch webpage.
