Academy - Overview

Established in 1979, the Academy caters for the needs of pharmacists and non-pharmacists involved in any sphere of pharmacy. The criteria for membership of the Academy are that members shall through active involvement or through an interest in: education; research and development; production; control or marketing of medicines or; community or hospital practice of pharmacy, contribute to the pharmaceutical sciences and technology and the professional practice of pharmacy.

Delegate fees
APSSA member full conference (3 days) R2700
APSSA student full conference (3 days) R1600
Day registration (includes registration, tea and lunch) R1700

Kosher/halaal meals carry a surcharge of R200 per day.

Late registration: An additional R500 will be charged for full conference registration after 9 June.

Evening functions
The cocktail function on Thursday and the Gala/awards dinner on Saturday are included in the full conference fee.

Friday night dinner is for your own account. Postgraduate students are welcome to join the Young Pharmacists’ Group for a night out at a cost of R220. Limited space. For more information email ypg@pharmail.co.za.

A special rate has been negotiated: Bed & breakfast R1200 per night (single) and sharing at R1680 per night (R840 per person).
